Umbrella Pets offers a variety of services so your pets are always covered! From pet sitting to dog walking to basic obedience and behavioral training, we can help you care for your pet!
The services provided by Umbrella Pets are listed below.
Pet Sitting – Drop your pup off at Umbrella Pets while you are traveling or working. They are treated like part of the family. Daily walks, visits to the park, socialization skills and LOVE are just a few of the benefits of staying with Umbrella Pets. For minimal additional fees, your pup may also be bathed, brushed, nails clipped, teeth brushed, mats removed, fur trimmed, tear stains removed or any other services you require. We also offer some training for additional fees while visiting us. Get to know some of our current family members or check out our Testimonials for more info.
Please visit our “Contracts & Forms” page to complete our Pet Sitting Contract and Pup Intake form.
Dog Walking – Do you commute to your job and would feel better if your pets had some interaction during the day?? We can take your dog for a walk during the day for 20 minutes to an hour. During these walks, we provide exercise, stimulation, love and play. Your pets will be much happier when you arrive home from work!
Basic Obedience & Behavioral Training – Does your pup need some help with the basic commands such as sit, stay, come, heel, leave it, drop it, etc? We can help you by offering you the information on how to build a consistent training schedule to develop these basic commands. We do the initial training sessions and train you, the pet parent, so that you can continue the training with your dog. Behavioral tendencies and concerns are often frustrating to pet parents and they are unaware of how to stop these unwanted behaviors, such as a fearfulness toward other dogs, aggression, separation anxiety, and more. We provide you the information and train you on how to consistently work with your pet to reduce the behaviors. Only though positive reinforcement and not rewarding bad behavior can these unwanted behaviors be reduced. Please contact us to schedule a behavioral assessment.
Care of other pets – Your other pets need to be cared for too. We will care for your lizards, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, rabbits, ferrets, or any other pet you have. If you are traveling, we will check in on them periodically throughout the day so you don’t have to worry about anything!

Educational seminars range in price and purpose but all can be scheduled on an individual basis for your family or on a group basis for you and a bunch of your friends. Please read the types of seminars that are available below and contact us if you would like to schedule one or if you just have questions.
How to brush your pet’s teeth
Did you know that your pet’s teeth need brushing just like yours do? With regular cleanings and brushings, your pets will live healthier, longer, and with fresh breath! But how do you do it? It is always good to start when they are a puppy, but sometimes, that is not possible. Don’t fret, you can start now! We will come to your house and teach you how to introduce your pet to dental care as well as provide you with guidance for the future. If you have a group of friends that want to learn too, we can have a dental care training party! Whether individual or with a group, at a dental care training, all attendees will learn how to brush their pet’s teeth and will have the opportunity to brush an actual dog’s teeth to get a feel for it. We also will learn about all the different dental care products available and the things you can do if your pet just wont let you brush their teeth. Attendees also get a 15% discount on dental care products purchases at the training as well as take home information for future use, product samples, and more.
Individual dental care trainings are $40. Group dental care trainings are $20 per person (Minimum of 5 people in attendance)
How to read a pet food label & basic pet nutrition
Do you know what all the ingredients are in your pet’s food? Do you know what is good for them or not so good for them? Does your pet have allergies or is itchy, shedding, and has bad breath but you haven’t been able to determine the cause? Most of the time, these issues are caused by the food and treats. Synthetic ingredients, ingredients that are not even human-grade, tons of corn, potatoes and grain could be in your pet’s food and causing all these issues. During this seminar, we will teach you how to read your pet’s food labels as well as what to look for in their food. What ingredients shouldn’t your pet have, what should they have, which ones are the synthetic ingredients, how much of the ingredients are there are some of the questions we will answer. Do you know what bone/meat/chicken/beef meal is? What are By-Products? All these questions and more will be answered. In addition, during the seminar you will receive product samples, informational handouts, and 15% off all food and treats.
